Russian Chervonets

This is a 1 Chervonet from 1937. The Chervonets were a former currency of Russia.

The note has the picture of Lenin and it was the first time in 1937 that Lenin’s picture was used on a Chervonet. The Chervonets were suspended entirely after the monetary reform of 1947 in Russia.

I found this note at the Filamunis 2012 held in Houten, Netherlands on 12 May 2012.

The note I have is pretty used in condition and has some handwriting on it too with black ink. Probably this is Pick # 202 of the “Krause Standard Catalog of World Paper Money 1368 – 1960 – General Issues”.
